Larry Gritton, CPA After graduating from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Accounting, Larry joined Price Waterhouse in the audit department. Following that, he joined a 3 office local firm, where he became a partner 6 months later. In the 10 years there as a partner, the firm grew from 3 to 14 offices. In 1981, Gritton Associates was established and continues to this day helping our clients achieve their potential. Larry serves on many professional committees, including 30 years on the Iowa Society of CPA State Tax Committee, MyEntre.Net navigator (UNI), Foundation for the Future of Delaware County, and many other charitable and community organizations. He has been a Peachtree Advisor for over 20 years. His qualifications help businesses achieve success.
Bob Pence, CPA, MST Bob received his Bachelor degree in Accounting from St. Ambrose University and has a Masters degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. A CPA for nearly two decades, Bob has extensive experience in individual, partnership, corporate, and international taxation. Bob has worked with individual and business clients of all sizes helping them realize their potential by providing sound advice concerning all individual and business matters.
Jean Gritton Jean attended Kirkwood Community College beginning in 1982 and completed all required accounting courses. She has 25 years of experience with individual income taxes specializing in farm sales and out of state returns. She also has gained considerable knowledge and experience in business returns. Jean is proficient in Peachtree accounting, payroll taxes and many other related accounting activities.
Karen Kent Karen has been in the accounting field for 25 years and joined Gritton Associates in 1988. She is experienced in many fields including payroll, Peachtree accounting, Quickbooks, depreciation, and individual income taxes. Karen is proficient in helping clients with various correspondence with the IRS, monthly processing and miscellaneous accounting activities.
Theresa Kolbet
Theresa graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1993 with a B.A. degree in Accounting. She worked for 7 years at New Life Fitness World in Cedar Rapids in Accounts Receivable/Billing. She began at Gritton Asscociates in November 1999 by greeting clients, answering phones, preparing payroll reports, monthly processing and assembling tax returns. She now prepares individual income tax returns and handles many of the administrative duties. Theresa has experience in Peachtree and Quickbook accounting.
Deb Richmond
Esther Hershey Esther has been with Gritton Associates since 2004. She greets clients and helps them with common tax questions and schedules appointments. Esther also prepares payroll and monthly general ledgers for clients and assembles both individual and business tax returns. She is proficient in Peachtree Accounting and QuickBooks.

Deb received an Associate's Degree in Applied Science in 1974 at Sauk Valley College in Dixon, Illinois. Since that time, she has spent many years in various school systems as an associate and a volunteer. She was an employee of the Washingtion County Public Health Department for 7 years. Deb has been with Gritton Associates for 10 years since first moving to Manchester. She enjoys greeting the clients and visiting with them on the phone. Deb loves to get to know our clients and build relationships. She oversees the needs of clients and employees and works to make their lives easier and more enjoyable. When not assisting them, Deb stays busy with the ever-changing technology. She also helps to prepare payroll, assist in online free tax filing, and answer common tax questions.
